Have you heard of Flippity? This website is full of resources for you and your students. A must visit if you are looking for engaging tools to use in the classroom, Flippity has nearly endless possibilities. Almost every tool is fully customizable with the use of google sheets.

Below are 3 Flippity tools I loved to use in my elementary classroom.

Game Show:

The Flippity game show tool is very similar to Jeopardy. Designed to accommodate 4 teams, and equipped with a scoring system for each, this game is incredibly easy to facilitate. Write up to 30 game questions and include videos, pictures, audio recordings, and bonus questions

(otherwise known as daily doubles) if you choose.

4 C's Idea: Collaboration

Give students 30 seconds to meet with their team to determine their answer to each question. The game template allows you to award points to more than one team per question.

Virtual Breakout:

Create your very own virtual breakout. Mix things up by writing questions that allow for multiple answers, adding images, videos, links, or randomizing the order of questions. In my experience, this breakout is much quicker to set up than most, and allows for full customization.

4 C's Idea: Critical Thinking

Have each student write 2 - 3 questions for the breakout. Choose anywhere from 3 - 15 of the questions written by student to include in the breakout (15 is my limit. I've found any more and students burnout).

Virtual Board Game:

Create your very own virtual board game that allows for thematic customization. You can customize the board, dice, and game tokens. Write your own instructions for playing the game and add cards to make for more dynamic game play.

4 C's Idea: Creativity

Have students design their own game and game board to wrap up a unit.
